CHARM STUDIES arrives on Steam with new content!

In April 2023, we published what was our sixth (which is saying something!) collaboration with the fantastic NomnomNami:  CHARM STUDIES, better known as CHARM STUDIES.

In this game, a hybrid of visual novel and Picross, players take on the role of Casia, a young witch struggling to graduate from high school. But first, she has to pass Incantology, a subject that involves drawing magical spells on grids of varying sizes.

Luckily, Casia isn’t alone: Sena, a bright and ambitious student from her school, becomes her tutor, trying to teach Casia everything she needs to pass (for a modest fee, of course).

However, the carefree Casia was the polar opposite of the highly focused Sena, who can’t stand Casia’s lack of seriousness about her studies.

What’s new in the Steam version

After being available for free on  Google Play and itch.io, Incatology has finally arrived on Steam, and it does so in a deluxe edition (for a fee, of course) that includes achievements, over 50 new puzzles, and is available in a whopping SIXTEEN languages. Don’t worry, though, because the itch.io and Google Play versions will remain free. They simply don’t include the extra puzzles.

But what excites us most is that, to celebrate this launch… WE FINALLY HAVE A LOGO TRANSLATED INTO SPANISH.

You have no idea how much it validates me to see the title I came up with become an official logo. It’s one of the little pleasures of this job… and a rather rare one. The only logos in Spanish we have so far ares for Incantology, youre just imagining itSyrup and the Ultimate Sweet and Drowning, Drowning We shouldn’t count the logos for  Bad end Theater ,  her tears were my ligths   or Bug Fables  because they were already translated before we started working on them. (Although they look cool on the website, so we appreciate it all the same).

Taking advantage of the game’s relaunch on a new platform, we’ve made some minor corrections to the Spanish translation, but our work on this version hasn’t gone much further. Nami herself, however, has put in a lot of effort, even preparing a trailer where you can see some of the new features in this version:

By the way, Nami’s plan is to release one of her older games on Steam every month from now on… although it’ll be a while before you see any of them here, because some are so old that we haven’t even worked on them. 🥲 But we encourage you to play them, because they’re all adorable.
